Bala Kanda — Part 2 of 3. This chapter is an original prose retelling of the traditional Ramayana narrative; it is not a verse-by-verse translation.

Sage Vishvamitra asks that Rama and Lakshmana protect a sacred rite. Although Dasharatha hesitates, the young princes accompany the sage and confront forces disturbing the forest hermitages. Their journey teaches them how strength serves the vulnerable. At Gautama’s hermitage, Rama brings release to Ahalya, whose story is told differently across Ramayana traditions.

The episode invites readers to consider duty, compassion and the consequences of choices. Continue through the kand in order to follow the story from its beginning to its conclusion.
